Everlast recommends that TIG welders always have a backup torch. TIG torches come in different sizes with different maximum outputs. There is no such thing as a “one size fits all” approach when it comes to TIG torches. There are basically 2 torch sizes for common use: the 9 air cooled TIG torch and 20 series water cooled torch are small and close in size. The 17 air cooled torch, the 26 air cooled torch and the 18 water cooled TIG torch make up the larger size. The torches in the same group will have all their consumables in common and will interchange freely.
All of our torch cables are now made out of flexible silicone which is lighter and easier to use than previous designs. Each TIG torch has a duty-cycle and amperage limitation and are either air cooled or water cooled, requiring a Water cooler to keep the torch from overheating (See our PowerCool W300 under the Products TAB). Everlast TIG torches offer a range of styles and prices in 4m to 8m lengths and compare well with any name brand on the market. Our RotaFlex Combo line comes with 2 different sized torch heads in air cooled or water cooled options and in 4m or 8m lengths. Our Slim line of torches are lighter and ergonomically designed for fit and comfort.
As far as other accessories available for TIG welding, check out our NOVA Torch Slide control that works on newer soft-faced TIG units (with some exceptions). This finger control switch comes in both 4m and 8 m lengths. Please call or email us with your unit model and year purchased to ensure that the Nova slide control is compatible.
Also in the Nova line, you can purchase the Nova 10K Ohms Foot Pedal that boasts a long life potentiometer with up to 2,000,000 cycles and rack and pinion design. It also has a micro-switch for a clean on/off cycle.
